Best Voice Range: A3-E5
Birthday: August 31st, 2007(2007/08/31)
Miku Day: March 9th(03/09)
*March 9th is Miku day(ミクの日) because in Japanese, March 9th is written as 03/09 or 3月9日(Dates in Japanese are written as YYYY/MM/DD) - in the Japanese language there is a concept called Goroawase(語呂合わせ) where words can be spelled out by numbers since Japanese numbers have multiple readings, ie. the number 1 can be read as: Ichi, Itsu, I, Wan and 11 can be read as "wanwan(ワンワン)" which is "woof woof"... Using this wordplay, Miku's name can be spelled as 39 - with 3 being read as "mi(ミ)", and 9 being read as "ku(ク)" - Therefore Miku's day is March 9th (03/09). Additionally 39 can be read as "sankyuu(サンキュー)", which sounds like the English "Thank You!", and it's become sort of a catchphrase for her being featured in many songs and fanarts, infact there's even a song named "39(Sankyuu)" by Deco*27 and Sasakure. UK that was made for Miku's birthday!

First Song: 01_ballade/星のカケラ(Hoshi no Kakera, Fragments of a Star) - 平沢栄司(Eiji Hirasawa)

Etymology:
(Hatsu) - First, Beginning
(Ne/Oto) - Sound, Noise
ミク/未来(Miku) - Future
*Miku's name means "First Sound of the Future"/"First Sound from the Future" since she is the first VOCALOID character vocal,
in fact on her first and most iconic design by the artist KEI, she has a tattoo on her right arm saying "01 Hatsune Miku", additionally she is also the 世界で一番おひめさま(No. 1 Princess in the World), source? she told me herself!

Miku Hatsune(初音ミク) is a Vocal synthesizer(VOCALOID) developed by Crypton Future Media and YAMAHA as the first installation of the "Character Vocal(CV)" Series voiced by voice actress Saki Fujita(藤田咲) - followed by Rin&Len Kagamine voiced by Asami Shimoda(下田麻美), Luka Megurine voiced by Yuu Asakawa(浅川悠), MEIKO voiced by Meiko Haigou(拝郷メイコ), and KAITO voiced by Naoto Fuuga(風雅なおと).

Miku was released in Japan on August 31st, 2008. She became popular on the internet from songs posted onto the site NicoNico Douga(ニコニコ動画/NND) such as Poppipo(ぽっぴぽ), World is Mine(ワルドイズマイン), Disappearance of Hatsune Miku(初音ミクの消失), みくみくにしてあげる(Miku miku ni shiteageru), ロメオとシンデレラ(Romeo and Cinderella), Melt(メルト), and Ievan Polkka.

Miku also would gain an International audience as many VOCALOID songs and PVs from NicoNico Douga, as well as PVs from Project DIVA(A VOCALOID rhythm game) would be re-uploaded to YouTube by both Japanese and International fans, and many songs would also receive fan translations into various languages, my favourite channels from around this time are - Thisendlessforest, Lordxwille, Adhorriblesubs, motokokusanagi2009, googoo888.

Miku gained major popularity worldwide, giving her almost a celebrity status, even preforming concerts as a hologram! (Magical Mirai, Miku EXPO, Mikupa, NicoNico Chou Party...) She would also have her likeness featured in many different forms of media and products -
anime series(i.e. Lucky☆Star, Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei, Hyouka, Himoto! Umaru-chan, Jashin-chan dropkick...)

Collaborate with stores and brands(MacDonalds Japan, Pocky, LUX, Seven-Eleven, Lawson, FamilyMart, Sanrio...),

Video games(Project DIVA, Project SEKAI, Taiko no Tatsujin...),

a movie(Project SEKAI The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing),

Figures/Nendrioids,

Plushies(--In fact I own one! I have a Fuwa fuwa Miku SEGA Prize Plush),

she even has a 3D animation software called "MikuMikuDance"(MMD)!

My personal first introduction to VOCALOID songs and Miku was many years ago (2019? maybe 2018? I think) through Thisendlessforest's fan sub video of the song "独りんぼエンヴィー/Hitorinbo Envy" by koyori, I've probably listened to it 100s of times ever since then, and it made me listen to more VOCALOID songs - and so here we are years later, currently making a digital shrine for Miku, having created multiple of my own fan PVs for VOCALOID songs + hundreds of VOCALOID fanarts in the past years(fun fact: I've drawn Miku over 200 times, so far...), and studying Japanese - which means I can actually sing along and read the lyrics now - さあ、あんよあんよこっちおいで 手を叩け歩けらったたた♪ (the Chorus of Hitorinbo Envy) - Also I even have Miku's Voicebank as well now! I'm hoping I can make something using it soon♪
